How about some ground rules.

WTF is going on here lately? So far I've stayed far enough away from the fray here because it seems so fucking pointless. Here is a clue, if people here are split with such vehemence into two camps, people who for the most part, (I know there a some exceptions) have no family or historical ties to either Israel or Lebanon, than how the hell do you think the people of that region feel?  This is not a political football to them. This is not a hot debate topic. This is crushed limbless bodies being pulled from rubble. Children burnt to an unrecognizable charred mess of smoking flesh. This is the reality they are living and dying with every fucking day. It's not a matter of bad policy, it's not a matter of political will, it's not a matter of a who did what. It is a matter of innocent people caught up in a power struggle that has no foreseeable end, nor much hope for a happy outcome.

These are people who have, and are, losing their loved ones daily from devastating inventions of steel and lead. They die in falling buildings, their skin melted by white phospherous. They are shot and mangled escaping from their homes. They are killed by random un-aimed antique rockets. Families are blown the fuck up on their drive to safety.
To those of you who are so sure of the solution, so sure where to place the blame, so intent on being heard in every thread, every day, do you honestly think that repeating the same pro this, pro that rhetoric is going to change anything? Fuck no it isn't. It only proves one thing. Violence begets more violence. Arguing produces more arguing. Nobody is turning the other cheek anymore. This place is a microcosm for the anger, hurt, fears, terror and retribution that these people are living with every day, only most of us are merely speculating what it must be like. Let's knock of with the he said, she said bullshit.

Let's agree on this much. Killing innocent people is wrong. Killing innocent children is an unbounded evil on a level beyond the scope of reason or justification.  It matters not who the aggressor is, it's irrelevant and it is wrong. Morally, spiritually, cosmically WRONG.
What can we do to stop this? Be creative. Be bold. Be tolerant of your fellow Kossack's no matter how far up his/her ass you think their head is.
If we cannot stop bickering even here in this domain, I don't see much hope for the people living in the middle of it.

I have no illusions of being able to fix anything. I do however hope that honest intellegent discussion can lead to a greater understanding of what reality all people of the region are living under. And in no small part
we can thank our fucking presnit for his help in fanning the fires of hatred and killing. He and his minions have destroyed enough villages in the last six years. Let's preserve ours here as a beacon of reason and thoughtfulness, no matter what side of the border your emotions reside.
