Senator Obama, You Tell Them...

Yesterday, it was made clear once more, the tactic these people will try to  use.  It is tiresome, it is ugly and it is old.  But use it they must, for it is their only weapon, dulled though it is with the blood of thousands, they have kept it ever at the ready, anxious to pull it free from the scabbard and start hacking away again, relentlessly and endlessly.  

                                FEAR!

Senator Obama, America has stilled to listen to your voice.  You have a powerful gift and as you, yourself quote, it is about the "fierce urgency of now". "WE ARE WHO WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!"  So respectfully, I ask...

You tell them...

NO!  
America will not be afraid!

You tell them...

that though our heads may be bloody, they are unbowed!

You tell them...

America seeks leadership and not a ruler!

You tell them...

that the time of intolerance, ugliness, and prejudice has past.

You tell them...

that though we are a nation who places a high value on free speech, what passes for that very thing these days, is insidious, hateful and poisonous and that America is tired of having our airwaves polluted with their propaganda.

You tell them...

That Americans are strong and we are a people that seek TRUTH and nothing less will do!

You tell them...

We will not TORTURE!

You tell them...

that we will seek out people who are guilty of these crimes, no matter the high office they may currently hold, or even if now is not the time that they may be held accountable, that their future is certain!  There will be no corner in which they may hide!  We are a nation of laws and NO ONE is above them!

You tell them...

that the power they may think they hold is temporary and was not given to them by God, but by we the people.  They were entrusted with that power and they ABUSED it foolishly forgetting that the whole world was WITNESS to that abuse!

You tell them...

Habeas Corpus will be restored and that they will be given a Fair Trial in spite of the fact that they, these self-same people,  having Rendered and Tortured surely do not deserve it!

You tell them...

WE ARE NOT AFRAID!

You tell them...

that the time of corporate greed has passed!

You tell them...

that they may no longer strip our mountaintops, pollute our streams and rivers or air and that our national parks, forrests and wildlife are sacred to us and not subject to their greedy, grasping hands!  We will PROTECT them!

You tell them...

No more NO BID CONTRACTS!  

You tell them...

No more PROFIT from the blood of innocents!

You tell them...

to slink away now and to take their bloody gold with them and count it while they can, but it better be a dark corner they choose to hide in, because this country will no longer tolerate their kind.

You tell them...

it matters not, whatever private army they try to amass, that there will always be more of us and like our fathers and grandfathers who fought in World War II, we will stand up against their Tyranny!

You tell them...

WE ARE NOT AFRAID!

You tell them...

America CHOOSES a different path!

You tell them...

that we will extend our hands in friendship but DO NOT MISTAKE this for a weakness that may be manipulated, but rather an invitation to people of good will to wipe the slate clean and start anew, TOGETHER.  

You tell them...

We will remain ever VIGILANT as we strive to remember that history has always shown us that ABSOLUTE POWER is something to be resisted at all costs!

You tell them...

Our path will be to abide by our LAWS!  They may not spy, poke or pry through our private lives without a WARRANT!

You tell them...

AMERICA IS NOT AFRAID AND SHE SEEKS A DIFFERENT AND BETTER PATH!

You tell them...

we will NOT use our treasure to seek ENDLESS WAR!

You tell them...

that we will use our treasure in a different way!  We will feed the hungry, house the poor, seek cures for disease, educate our selves and our children, BE OUR BROTHER'S KEEPER!

You tell them...

We will care for our SOLDIERS WHO HAVE BORN THE BATTLE!  We will care for the widow and the orphan they left behind!  We will BIND OUR NATION'S WOUNDS!

You tell them...

we will WORK TOGETHER AS A NATION AND AS A PLANET to help solve the problems of GLOBAL WARMING!  You tell them that old fashioned INGENUITY and WILL are not dead, but alive and well in the spirit of mankind!  YES! WE! CAN!

You tell them...

we will PROGRESS FORWARD as a nation, UNITED once more, drawing upon the wisdom of forefathers who dared to FIGHT, HOPE AND DREAM of something better, something HIGHER!

You tell them...

Their day is DONE!

You tell them...

that the FEAR they have worked so hard to INSTILL upon us is NO LONGER anything but an empty word!

You tell them...

WE ARE AMERICA AND WE ARE NOT AFRAID!
