Hi all from the Governor's Ballroom at the Austin Hilton downtown...

Things move so fast here, it's difficult to find time to write it down (I'm not bored, or a fast typist like clammy or spoon...

There's so much energy in the room... They've just introduced the four Dems out to take congressional seats in my fair state of CA.

I left my camera cord back in my hotel room, so unless I can convince DH to go fetch it, I'll have to post to Flickr later. The room is much larger than the room they used for this event last year... and there's food too. Lots of great hors d'oeuvres.

Dear Sadie Townsel, Melody's daugher (my new best friend) was keeping me company, she went to go swimming.

So folks, can we send these good people to give Barack the support he'll need to get anything done in the morass they call DC? I am struck with the realization of how much of life these candidates are donating to our cause...

How did I miss that Ben Masel is running for Senate again? He has been the august presence here he always is ;-)

Oooh, there is a scientist who's running for the Texas legislature in the "NASA area" that's very cool... Sherrie Matula. Thanks Sherrie, we need to put more science back into the conversation.

Glen Nye VA-02 (I think) just mentioned that Karl Rove was in his district in support of his opponent. The booing was something to behold.
