Fill Rick's Boots (Noriega-TX)

Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 02:23:45 PM PDT

I just received an email from Rick Noriega's wife Melissa on behalf of his campaign:

This week and the next, my husband Rick Noriega will take leave of his campaign to perform mandatory National Guard Annual Training (AT). During this time, I will be joined by several prominent Texans in the effort to "Fill Rick's Boots" on the campaign trail.

They have set a goal of raising $50,000 over the next two weeks - which kossacks should surely be able to help out with.  It would show wonderful support to exceed that amount.

Here is the important link.  More below:

What are YOUR Fitzmas plans?

Tue Oct 25, 2005 at 06:20:30 PM PDT

OK - We have stocked some good Octoberfest microbrew and I have my Jimi Hendrix "Star-Spangled Banner" ready and waiting.  IF it turns out to be a good Fitzmas, I will crank up my son's huge stereo, throw open his bedroom window and serenade the neighborhood.

Then I will go back to the Octoberfest, the Web and cable news - yes, all at once.  Hopefully, I will not send any half-assed emails to my professional associates.

So, what are YOUR plans if "things work out well"  (as Babs would say)?

Dallas News: Our friend Melody Townsel

This may be my first and only diary, but I wanted everyone to see this article .  It was somewhat buried in today's Dallas Morning News.

It didn't take long for Hurricane Katrina to spawn a tornado named Melody...

Melody, I only know you online, but want to thank you for all you are doing.  It's good to know that some Texans are not plagued by indecision!
